I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
