The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Fighters Table

Since the launch of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a gripping narrative including angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season follow below.

The Warrior Group Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of adventurers who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for participants who enjoy a classically intense battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

The traitor then paid off his debts and fled to a secure base in the remote area, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, seeks retribution.
  • The adventurer knows the northern area and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their status as important members in House Halovar could help the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, The grateful character swore a life debt to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the authorities that govern Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander defied House Halovar and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
